People Watchers and the Treasure Trove

This book tells a story about people watching on another level! This story, set in Washington D.C., focuses on five close friends that have nothing better to do other than hang out in a local bookstore on a daily basis.  In order to keep themselves entertained, they engage in a playful and meaningless people watching game that spins completely out of control when the ring leader, Lola, decides to drastically change the rules of the game. This change would include brief encounters with strangers who became the prospects of their game.  She often wondered if there was a way to find out if their people watching skills were accurate. She wanted excitement in her life and changing the game was a way to get it.  Her heart pounded at the challenge of following complete strangers from all walks of life and getting personal information about them to compare it to their earlier guesses. This game came with high stakes—the potential loss of friendship. To protect this, the game would come with rules such as….not getting personally involved with any of the prospects.  She had been working on this for some time and figured the new game was harmless, but sticking to the ultimate rule of not getting personally involved will prove to be a bigger challenge not just for Lola, but for all of them.
